- Market: Specialty Retail – Pet
- Technology:POS/Pin Pad/Server
- Market: Retail- Specialty
- Project Duration: 6 Months
- Number of Locations: 843 (POS); 1490 (Pin Pad)
- Average 12 sites per day; 4 days per week
A national specialty retailer of pet supplies was looking to replace their POS system and pin pads across all locations to improve transaction speeds and their overall customer experience. They were encountering many issues with the legacy pin pads, which created the need for an expedited rollout of their new solution across all stores. Full POS system replacements needed to be performed at half of their stores, with the remaining half to occur in 2018.
Worldlink worked closely in tandem with the client, as well as their other partners in facilitating the expedited rollout. We worked with all parties to create and manage the schedule, and align equipment delivery dates with the physical installation of the devices. Existing POS systems, pin pads, and servers were de-installed and packed for return shipment. We also installed an average of four new POS systems, pin pads, and a server, as well as adding pole displays where necessary to comply with state guidelines.
“Thank you all for a great effort to push through to the end of the rollout for this year. We have one more week of full refreshes and then the final week of installs…but the finish line is in sight! This project has been a great example of teamwork and I want to thank our partners for all your efforts. We are about three months ahead of schedule!”
